The month in one sentence

September is not asking you to invent a new life. It is asking whether the one you already chose has been properly arranged.

The larger story

September begins four days after a partial lunar eclipse in Pisces. The eclipse happened in August, but its effects did not observe the calendar change. The beginning of September is for looking at what remains once the excitement, panic or very convincing revelation has worn off.

The Sun spends most of the month in Virgo, where attention moves from the event to its consequences. Virgo is typically reduced to clean desks and expensive storage containers, but its actual concern is discernment. What works? What does not? This is the time when heightened judgement kicks in.

This is useful after an eclipse season. August supplied the interruption. September has to clean it up.

The month begins with resistance, reaches a concentrated turning point on September 10, and ends by testing the difference between honest self-assertion and the need to win. Relationships, routines, information and ambition all come under review.

There is plenty of movement. Very little of it reaches an immediate conclusion.

“August supplied the interruption. September has to clean it up.”
